Very fine walk, indeed. I love visiting Sweetwater, a little less now than I used to as they don't want people to bring their dogs onto the property -- at least the last time I was there the sign was up. As for the coyotes, I can't help but notice that Arizona's coyotes have ears that appear longer, taller, and less furry than the ones in my neighborhood in Illinois and Wisconsin. BTW, last time I was at Sweetwater, we saw a nice bobcat along with oh-so-many birds species.
It is a nice place. Yes, Sweetwater doesn't want dogs there as dogs are viewed as predators by the wildlife and it stresses them. I've personally seen a bobcat turn and run when it saw a dog far away on the trail. The dog was calm and on leash but millions of years of evolution told the bobcat that the dog was a predator. Your coyote ears observation is very good. Animals in the desert have adapted to the climate and the larger coyote ears allow them to act as radiators and give off more body heat.
A nice variety of beautiful sights. I especially like the flower. Striking.
Thank you. Those datura flowers are indeed striking!
