Beautiful birds. Thank you! I once glanced out a back window in my house and saw male bronzed cowbird performing the aerial bow for the female on the ground below him. Every once in a while he would stop and offer her food and then return to the air. I was stunned. I'd never before heard of the bird or the display, but it was easy to identify once I started looking through my resources. What thrill that was!
What an array of colourful and interesting birds. I love the crown of the Flycatcher! The Warbler's here have been very vocal this year. Very busy flying to and fro and telling us all about it :)
I really do need to get over that way more often. I a couple of months ago we did a couple of miles out and back on a section of the Arizona trail near Patagonia. I did see and photograph some birds, but no cattle ponds.
