I’ve ordered “Owls of the Eastern Ice” that chronicles a 5-year effort to conserve the Blakiston’s fish owl … the world’s largest owl. Complete 360-degree contrast to our environment. Can’t wait to get it.
It must be so heartwarming when they can see one of the rescued owls thriving so well! The pictures are beautiful and thankyou for sharing so much about Wild at Heart🙏

Sounds like an interesting book.
How cool. Did you need special permission to visit this location?
Thanks Todd. As long as you remain on public roads you can observe from there. There is "No Trespassing" posted on the sanctuary land itself.
Nice photos of these cuties!
Thank you Michele

It is indeed very nice to see that Wild at Heart's work is successful.
I love this, Dan. I dind't know anything about Wild at Heart. Thanks for indtroducing us.
Thanks Patt. There are a number of 'unknown' groups with dedicated people doing great work out there.
Wonderful to hear and see! Burrowing Owls doing ok in Tucson area - here in UT we’ve had many abandoned nests due to drought.
The drought has been tough on so many plants and beings.
These owls are so cool Dan. I'm glad the effort to find safe place for them is working. Hope we can enjoy them for a long time!
Thanks Pete. it is good to see when people can have such a positive impact on wildlife.
Love this write up Dan. It’s good to know that some owls are being relocated successfully!
Thank you Darlene. So much is done in the Phoenix area and we are the beneficiaries of some of that good work
