This hot summer has been tough on most of the potted plants in my yard. They have been just trying to survive in this heat. Now that the daytime temperatures have finally dropped into the comfortable 90’s and the nights are cool, I’m seeing very many flower blooms. Enjoy this big splash of color! (and please let me know if you know the common name for a flower that I identified incorrectly)
Mystic Spires Sage (a Salvia)
Chuparosa
Gregg’s Mist Flower
Salvia
Society Garlic
Tecoma Orange and Tecoma Yellow Bells
Butterfly Bush
Firecracker or Fire Bush???
Lantana

Besides looking pretty, each of these flowers attract butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinators.

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.” - Luther Burbank
I love your diversion to flowers. I'm noticing some rain heading to Tucson, hopefully more blooms are on the way.
You have created a lovely sanctuary for people as well as for wildlife in your yard.
