Nice photos Dan! Always love having the bluebirds stop by our water feature.

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me; we don't have blue birds where I live but we do have Blue Jays and I look forward to their visit every morning when they come in for the inshelled peanuts that I supply. Thanks for this special post.

My hometown was Prescott,AZ and we had so many bluebirds my Dad had a special house build for them.

They are rare, I don't think I have seen one out in the wild. Probably looking at the wrong time. Nice looking bird!

They are often around during the winter on the grasses in city parks. Good luck in the future

Nicely done. I'm not seeing them at Ft. Lowell this year -- a bit of a disappointment.

Thanks. Like many birds, there are so may fewer this winter for some reason

Thanks for this article and lovely photos Dan. I'm glad to learn more about western bluebirds. I've been fortunate to see small groups feeding on mistletoe in Sabino Canyon, similar to what you described in your HOA article.

Thanks Julie. They must be beautiful to see in Sabino.
