Your Hooded Orioles are lucky. In all the years they’ve nested on our house beam, we’ve only seen them fledge their own young twice! In 11 years! And one of those was when they actually took over one of our Barn Swallow nests! They always had the burden of raising huge cowbird babies. Usually Bronzed.
