Several years ago, we would have large coveys of adults and chicks all around the yard, I could watch them for hours. Then they put a road in and houses, no more quail, pheasant, redwing black birds or fireflies. So Sad. So thankful for you shearing.
The walnut parades are some of the coolest activities we can see. Zippededoodaa all over the place in chaos.
They are pretty darn special.

Adorable! We had 12 quail chicks on our yard earlier this year. Their coloration blends in so well with their surroundings.
That's a big family. They do blend in to remarkably!
