More of the Red Foxes on San Juan Island
I just had to drive by to see this family at least once a day if not more
Sometimes when we drove to Cattle Point, we would not see any foxes. When we did see the foxes, it always made our efforts worthwhile. The young kit Foxes spent much time around the driveway of one residence. (Just a reminder: you can click on any photo to make it a bit larger.)
I don't really have much more to say about the Red Foxes other than the little ones were just so very cute and it was a privilege to be able to see them so often. Enjoy these snapshots. (Remember that Red Foxes are part of the Canidae family and a member of the Canine sub-family which includes domestic dogs, wolves, coyotes, etc. So if these photos remind you of your dog, there is a reason for that.)
Sitting and waiting.....
Resting.....
Sleeping.....
Two siblings hanging out together......
There was a deep hole next to the road. Periodically the foxes would disappear into the hole and then pop out again. It was an interesting play space for them.
Watching the others playing.....
Now what????
At one point these two kit Foxes got into a tussle.
More of their quarrel in a future blog!! You'll just have to wait.
Dan, you had such a unique opportunity. And you made the most of it. We All gained from it, too!
These opportunities to see what you get to experience are pure joy. Thank you!
