The Blue Grosbeak against the blue, blue sky is stunning!

Scored Big ones here, Dan! And the dragonfly was icing on the cake. Reminded me of a recent “ moment in Nature:” Big dragon fly upside down on our driveway, stationary, buzzing its wings. A closer look revealed a wasp at its neck. Game over! Made me admire the wasp’s hunting skills. A foto woulda been neat, but that thought didn’t come til now!

P.S. our Michigan Rose breasted g beak

males’ courtship call always stops me in my tracks..

See u in Nov!

What a sight to see. It's fascinating when the predator become prey. Even without a photo you have a memory of a lifetime. I went back to El Rio this week and saw another dragonfly caught in the same spider web. This time, the spider was in the open munching away on the dragonfly!
